PAPERPCS RUSHING AHEAD IN THE WORLD CLASS RALLY RACE DAKAR 2006 !!
Yes, the PaperPCs - developped by Metalinks for Clairefontaine - will participate in the long distance rally reference and mythical race known as "The Dakar" starting on next saturday from Lisboa (Portugal) on next december 31st, ending 9043 Km after, on the 15th of january 2006, in Dakar (Senegal).
They will do it on the most radical way : in the bikers class !!
The Teligent model will be part of the communication tools embarqued in the backpack of the Honda bike french racer, Gautier de Hauteclocque, # 56 .

Gautier will be running in the private pilot category, without assistance. He is, in his way, following in the sands of Africa his 2nd World War Hero grand father, more than known in France as Marshall of France Philippe Leclerc de Hauteclocque that liberated France with Charles de Gaulle.
The PaperPCs will allow him to send instantly and intuitively complicated schemes and/or plans in case needed. He will send us ScriptMails as soon as he will be abble to breathe, during race break days.
We are particularly proud and excited to test our technology - enabling the Anoto Functionality - in such prestigious and radical conditions.
